The World Is Not Enough

In March, 1995, Butch Vig and his friends contacted Shirley Manson, and they worked together for two whole hours to produce a song called 'Vow".' They then released it as a single.

Four months later, and they released their second single, 'Subhuman.'

They set to work on an album, but didn't call it anything, so sometimes it is known as 'the pink one' or 'the self titled one' or'Garbage' or "'G' and many other things varying from person to person. Some people simply call it 'the first one.' To help it's launch, they released their third single, 'Only Happy When It Rains.' They didn't include the song 'Subhuman' on their album though... strange...

Then shortly afterwards, 'Quee'r and 'Stupid Girl'" were released. After that, Garbage didn't really release any more singles for a while. But they were busy working on 'Milk' which was released in late 1996.

Their first self-titled album has these great tracks:

Supervixen
Queer
Only Happy When It Rains
As Heaven Is Wide
Not My Idea
A Stroke Of Luck
Vow
Stupid Girl
Dog New Tricks
My Lover's Box
Fix Me Now
Milk

They are all really cool songs!.

The first single released as a followup to Garbage's debut album, 'Push It,' was released at the end of April 1998.

This was followed closely by the eagerly-awaited Version 2.0. All of the tracks had a more popish sound to them.

In July, 'I Think I'm Paranoid' was released commercially in Europe and Australia, and not in the US, for the first time spanning 4 formats and hence 2 different weeks of release.

The next single, 'Special,' was released in October, again in 4 formats over 2 weeks and again not in the US.

Their second album, version 2.0 has these:
Temptation Waits
I Think I'm Paranoid
When I Grow Up
Medication
Special
Hammering In My Head
Push It
The Trick Is To Keep Breathing
Dumb
Sleep Together
Wicked Ways
You Look So Fine

They are also all really cool! Especially Medication, Temptation Waits amd um... well all of them!

They followed this up with 'The World Is Not Enough,' the theme to the hit James Bond movie, 'The World Is Not Enough,' in November 1999.  It is available to purchase as a single or on the soundtrack to The World Is Not Enough.

On the back of the single, 'The World Is Not Enough,' two of the tracks are labelled to be """""""'from the upcoming album,' so for all those Garbage fans out there, keep your eyes peeled...

Temptation Waits
I'll tell you something
I am a wolf but
I like to wear sheep's clothing

I am a bonfire
I am a vampire
I'm waiting for my moment

Chorus:
You come on like a drug
I just can't get enough
I'm like an addict coming at you for a little more
And there's so much at stake
I can't afford to waste
I never needed anybody like this before

I'll tell you something
I am a demon
Some say my biggest weakness
I have my reasons
Call it my defense
Be careful what you're wishing

Chorus

You are a secret
A new possession
I like to keep you guessing

Chorus

When I'm not sure what I'm living for
(When I'm not sure who I am)
When I'm not sure what I'm looking for
(When I'm not sure who I am)
When I'm not sure what I'm living for
(When I'm not sure who I am)
When I'm not sure what I'm looking for
(When I'm not sure who I am)

When I'm not sure what I'm living for
When I'm not sure what I'm looking for
When I'm not sure what I'm living for
